Shoshannah (Actor)

Shoshannah began performing in theatre in 1999 in her hometown Chicago.  She has performed in several mainstage and children’s theatre productions for ETA Creative Arts Foundation, Chicago State University’s Theatre Program, and Fools In Shoes.  A few productions she has performed in include In the Wine Time, Sheila’s Day, Tambourines to Glory, Grandma’s House, and The Player.  Shoshannah has written numerous plays including Woman Enough!! and Jukin & Jiggs which was produced Off-Broadway by the NEC Theatre in New York.  She has trained at The Second City-Chicago, The Actor’s Center, National Black Theatre Festival and The Groundlings.  She has done performance workshops with Jim Moody, Douglas Turner Ward, Ntozake Shange, and Larry Leon Hamlin.  In addition to acting and writing, Shoshannah is a Poet/Spoken-Word Artist.  Currently, she is working with her long time supporter of her dreams/co-producer, Antaeus Gayles on her webisode series Angie & Cookie and remounting her one-woman show That Hootchie for its 5 year Anniversary.  Shoshannah is currently seeking representation.
