
Born in Ankara Turkey, Rasool is a military brat
who lived in Taiwan and England before moving to the states. She
holds a BA in Theatre from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC.
Rasool just closed an extra-ordinary production of A
Midsummer Night’s Dream here at Write Act Repertory where
she played Puck.
While living in North Carolina, Rasool spent her summers
performing Shakespeare at Theatre in the Park. Some of her roles
included Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Portia in
Julius Caesar, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Some of
her favorite roles include Benethea in A Raisin in the Sun,
Molly/Fran and April in The Heidi Chronicles and Mabel in
The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.
Rasool has been fortunate enough to work with great people such
as the Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jude Law, the late John Ritter
and Brock Peters, Vanessa Redgrave, Danny Glover and Shirley
MacLaine.
Some of her film credits include Rebecca in Cold Mountain
directed by Academy Award winner, Anthony Minghella, Deb in I
Know What You Did Last Summer, Veda Scott in Freedom Song
directed by Phil Alden Robinson and Carol in Socket
directed by Sean Abley which will be out on DVD in March.
Rasool is with Blair Management and rep’d commercially by Howard
Talent West. She is a member of Equity and is currently seeking
theatrical representation.
