Marlene Okner
(Actor)

Marlene was born and raised in Sweden where she appeared in
several theater shows from an early age. Always wanting to
pursue acting in the US she made the move seven years ago
and lived in Hawaii for four years. In Hawaii she studied
acting at Hawaii Pacific University.
She has appeared in shows such as Chamber Music where
she played Woman Who Plays Records and various one
acts and comedy shows. Originally a writer she also co-wrote
shorts like Tell Me Something and John and Miranda both
in which she played the title roles. When not acting she
enjoys experiencing new places, cultures and art. Marlene is
fluent in Swedish and has a basic knowledge of German and
French. She lived in Guatemala for two months to study
Spanish and in New York two months to study hip hop and jazz
dance.
While living in Hawaii she had the honor to study
improvisation with Alan Arkin. In Los Angeles she also
studied improvisation at Second City. She has also taken
both scene study and actor-director lab with Judith Weston
and studied cold reading and scene study with Doug Warhit.
Currently she is studying with Craig Wallace.
Marlene is a member of AFTRA and represented by Tilmar
Talent Agency.
