Joan Silsby
(Writer)
JOAN
SILSBY is a transplanted native of
Washington, D.C., who escaped the cold, wet winters by moving to Los
Angeles, and who has no intention of going back. In 1996, she began her
association with John Lant by stage managing The Jewel Box Theatre's
production of Eight Part Harmony. Joan published the
novelization of The Devil's Bride in 2004; she adapted the novel
as a play the following year. She has written one screenplay, is
working on two more; and has also written two plays (so far) for the
Write Act Repertory Company. Joan can be found on-line at
www.ZombieQueen.com.
Her web site features her stories, a porfolio of her Photoshop, Flash
and traditional artwork; and a web comic starring her undead alter-ego,
the Zombie Queen. Joan provides illustration, graphics design and
clerical support for Write Act Rep. She types sixty words a minute, and
she has worn the paint off several keys on her laptop. Her hobbies
include drinking too many iced cappuccinos, watching horror movies, and
kickboxing.
