Jimmy Walker (Actor)

Jimmy was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio
where he performed and studied acting at the Karamu House,
the oldest black theatre in the nation. He performed in such
plays as August Wilson's Jitney and Langston Hughes's
Simply Heavenly, directed by Richard Gant, Little
Ham, Tamborines to Glory.He also performed as
'Loving Al' in the musical Working and 'Newt
Lee' in Parade at the Cassidy theatre in
Cleveland. Jimmy also performed in the play, Barbershop at
The National Black Play Festival, at the midnight reading in
Winston Salem North Carolina in 2001. He moved to Los
Angeles in 2003 to pursue a career in Television and Film.
His TV credits include "My Name IS Earl, ER, and
The District. His film credits include, Black
Dynamite, The Hammer, and I'm Through With
White Girls. Jimmy is proud to be a member of Write Act
Rep. He was last seen there in a workshop production called
Coffee Club. He was also seen at Write Act as
'Little Andrew', in Blues For Central Avenue .Jimmy
has studied acting at the Ivanna Chubbuck Studio. He
currently studies tap with Arlene Kennedy and Charon
Aldredge.
