Freeway Series – 2008

Write Act Repertory’s Inaugural Play Festival will feature Greater Los Angeles Playwrights currently not in Write Act Repertory.

Write Act Rep has been presenting new opportunities for playwrights since 1998. The Rep’s on-going mission is to produce and create original script opportunities for Los Angeles Playwrights and our members. This festival will bring together two artistic outlets each year with different playwrights not in our company. Write Act Rep seeks to develop relationships within our own diverse community of artists bringing theatre that enriches the lives of Los Angeles Theatre, our patrons, and the multi-cultural community through our innovative programming.

Final Selection of Plays for the festival will be chosen at a Play Selection Reading - Spring 2008 with auditions following.  Finalist include: Herman Poppe, Dan Roth, Dennis Safren, Thomas Misuraca, EM Lewis, Richard Martin Hirsch, Jim McGinn, Hindi Brooks, and Chris Merril.
