Jonathan is having the perfect day. He's got the looks, the nerve and
the brains — and he is about to sign the business deal of his life, meaning
big money in the pipeline. When Lucy Ferguson, the wife of his main
investor, turns up on his
doorstep
to sign the papers, Jonathan has no idea what a mess he's about to get himself
into. You can't have it all and expect to get away with it. There
are always consequences to the choices you make. This sexy one-act play
is a modern Faustus, and not to be taken lightly. You have been warned.

About Write Act Rep's "First Look Series"
Write Act
Repertory Company's "First Look Series" showcases new works by up-and-coming
international writers. These "works in progress" are being nurtured by Write
Act Repertory's mission to develop and produce original plays with a
collaborative ensemble of professionals dedicated to the craft of developing
innovative theatrical productions for the Los Angeles community. The "First
Look" process involves the submission of a recommended writer's work, a reading
and then a fully-staged production of the "work in progress." Following the
staged first production, a Q & A session with the audience, provides the writer
with the opportunity to integrate suggestions and feedback into the next draft
of the work. The writer, next presents the revised draft of their script for
the second step of the process. Once again, the work is performed in front of
an audience, and feedback is solicited. The final step of the process involves
the writer formally submitting the script to the Write Act Repertory's Literary
Committee for possible selection in the upcoming season.
"Development of a
new project, is the most fascinating of all the aspects of the theatre," states
Producing Artistic Director John Lant. "To guide the birth process, and
walk a project through the steps leading up to a finished, and fully realized
production, is often times as frustrating as it is exhilarating. So much care
has to be given to the artists providing the tone of the new project. Whether
you are the writer, director, actor, or on the design team, there is a delicate
balance that a producer must create for the nurturing of each discipline, so
that no piece of the puzzle outweighs the strengths of the other, not only in
terms of involvement, but also passion."
